Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that the host processes to deliver the site and keep it secure: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. Server logs are automatically deleted after a short time. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating a stable and secure website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host; transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Analytics with Plausible

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused web analytics service by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, an EU company. Plausible works without cookies and without persistent identifiers: it does not store your IP address, does not build visitor profiles, and does not track you across sites or devices. It records aggregated page views, referrer, page visited, and coarse device information, processed on servers in the EU. It also records when a link to another website is clicked, including the address of that link, so that we can tell how often the booking link is used. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. Details:plausible.io/data-policy. The same cookieless analytics also runs on our subdomainbuild.kogsy.ai, whose visits appear in the same statistics.

Video on build.kogsy.ai

The page at build.kogsy.ai offers an explainer video hosted on YouTube. It sits behind a click-to-play preview: opening the page loads a still image from our own server and makesno request to YouTube or Google at all. Nothing is transmitted to Google unless you press play.

If you press play, the player is requested from YouTube, operated for users in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. At that point Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device, may set cookies or comparable storage on your device, and, if you are signed in to a Google account, may associate the playback with that account. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, your consent, given by pressing play after this notice. If you do not press play, no consent is given and no data reaches Google. We have no influence over what Google does with the data once the player has loaded; the details are inGoogle's privacy policy.

We separately count that a play was started, without cookies, through Plausible (see Analytics above). That counter records that the video was played, not who played it.

Contact form on build.kogsy.ai

The page at build.kogsy.ai offers a voluntary interest form (name, email address, profession, and a free-text message). We use what you submit solely to respond to your inquiry and to contact you about the Judgment Build program; there is no newsletter and no marketing list. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, steps prior to entering into a contract taken at your request. Submissions are received and stored for us by our host Netlify (see Hosting above) and deleted when they are no longer needed for the inquiry.

On the self-check page at /where-it-pays/ four additional counters are recorded: that the self-check was started, that a result was viewed, that the copy-link button was used, and that the booking link was followed from that page. These are counts of events and nothing else. The answers you give the tool, the processes you pick, the hours you enter, and the scores it produces are never included and never leave your browser. The part of the page address after the # symbol, which is where the tool keeps your answers, is removed before anything is sent.

Fonts

Fraunces, Caveat and Inter are served from this site’s own domain. No request is made to Google Fonts or any other font CDN, so no data is transmitted to a font provider when you open a page.

Booking a call

The booking button links to calendar.app.google, a third-party scheduling service. No data is transmitted to it until you follow that link. If you book, the data you enter there (name, email, and anything you write in the booking form) is processed to arrange and hold the call, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. That provider’s own privacy policy applies to what happens on its site.

Email contact

If you write to hg@kogsy.ai, your message and address are processed to answer you, on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with the matter and to meet statutory retention periods.

Your rights

  • Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

To exercise any of these, write to hg@kogsy.ai. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR. The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Ansbach.

Changes

We update this policy when the site changes. This version reflects the site as built: static pages, self-hosted fonts, no cookies, and cookieless aggregate analytics via Plausible.
